Idaho Content Standards for Social Studies (2006):
Grade 6-9: World History and Civilization
Standard WHC.5.1.2: explain the global consequences of major conflicts in the 20th century, such as World War I; World War II, including the Holocaust; and the Cold War.

These standards are mandatory in Idaho.
