How You Can Help

The Teach Against Genocide (TAG) campaign is largely run by amazing feats of volunteer manpower. From middle schoolers to young policy professionals in Washington, DC to even retired college professors, a diverse group of passionate individuals have come together to help launch this important initiative. You can also have a hand in getting schools across the country to teach this critical subject!

Here’s how you can help:

Are you a student?

1. Start a STAND Chapter at your school! STAND, the student division of the Genocide Intervention Network, has over 1,000 student chapters all across the country to educate and advocate to prevent and stop genocide in our world. By starting a STAND chapter, you and your fellow students can join a network of tens of thousands of like-minded students and get hooked up with a plethoraof resources.2. Are you from CT, KY, or KS? If so, get involved in our state campaigns by emailing Uchino@TeachAgainstGenocide.org.

3. Get your teachers to teach about the subject of genocide in your school! If they want more information on how to do so, have them contact organizations that specialize in teacher trainings such as Facing History and Ourselves.
